Plain Grove's Updates and News
East Lawrence Elementary School
Have you wondered about what happened to the school and what is going on with it now? The school was auctioned off to Jerry Filer from Grove City and he is putting apartments in it. There will be a total of eight apartments of which two will be handicap accessible. Six are 900 square feet in size and the other two handicap are 1200 square feet in size. They are a two bedroom apartments with lots of closet space. They all have individual heat pumps to them, carpeted, lots of windows, modern bathrooms, a place for a washer and dryer, and a large kitchen with dishwasher, electric stove, and refrigerator. There will also be a carport for the residents. It is nice to see that the school will be a nice place for future residents and not an eyesore for the township. If you are interested in one, stop down at the school to get the contact information.

Did you know the Bookmobile comes to Plain Grove Presbyterian Church to share books for both young and old? Give them a try!
The Township has added a pavilion to the township building and will also create a Memorial from the plaque that we removed from the East Lawrence School. The County Commissioners have awarded us a grant to help with the project. We have also acquired the old school bell and will also place it within this project. Stay tuned for more information!
