We have been Marias Country Store since 2006 but our building has a beautiful rich history going back to at least 1875! The store was started by H. Bovard in 1832 at another location just down the road. In 1868 the business was taken over by A. McKinney. Later, in the fall of 1875, McKinney built a new two-story wood structure and moved the store to its present-day location. McKinney continued his business until 1906 when Clarance Pollock bought the store and later passed it down to his son, Cliff Pollock, in 1949. Finally, in 2006, it became the Maria’s Country Store we know today. (*)
